Country Cloth
This cotton cloth is made from a single piece, measuring 87cm in width, rather than sewing together numerous strips. Looms that made cloth of this width were very rare in Sierra Leone before 1949, when it entered the museum, suggesting it may not be Sierra Leonean. It is striped in undyed, and indigo-dyed, cotton.
