Leather Pouch

A double leather pouch with flaps decorated with a tooled geometric design. It has a leather loop at each corner, and one at the fastenings on either side, to which are attached leather tassels and buttons. This bag was originally thought to be Native American but it, rather, resembles the type of leatherwork typical of Muslim elites in Sierra Leone, commonly known as Mandingo leatherwork.
