Female Bust
An unusual carved female bust wearing shoulder cloths of stained cream, and red, cotton, along with a printed head-tie. She has a ribbed hair design under the scarf, and wears brass earrings. She is also wearing a cowrie shell necklace, with a glass imitation leopards tooth. Although the Glasgow Museum catalogue notes that this is a Mende figure, it rather resembles a Kissi, or Kisi, reliquary for a pompta or nomoli.
