Kamajor Cap
This is a cap, thought to have been worn by Kamajors, or Civil Defence Force, during the civil war. It is made from coarsely woven material and attached to it are a number of rectangular packages, bound in multi-coloured string. These are known ad sebe. or sebbeh, and are likely to contain Qur anic texts. It is also decorated with cowrie shells and fringing. This cap a powerful object, thought to have protective properties.
