Amulet Necklace
A leather necklace, originally thought to be North American, however, its form is more likely to be West African, particularly Sierra Leonean. It consists of three leather sebe/sebbeh, or amulets. strung on to a leather thong. The construction of the necklace resembles Mandingo leatherwork, traditionally associated with Muslim elites.
