Dagger and Sheath
This dagger has a Mori , or Mandingo, leather sheath, and plaited carrying handle. The carrying handle is composed of seven leather plaits, attached to the sheath with leather encased buttons. Mandingo leatherwork is traditionally associated with Muslim elites and comes from the Northern Province of Sierra Leone.
