Fringed Grass Basket
A small netted basket, fringed to protect its contents from the rain. The top of the basket loop runs through the middle of a dense fringe of red and yellow, designed to let the water run off the bag, rather than soak its contents. Alldridge called this type of bag a Portmanteau .
