Fula song about a bracelet

Ethnomusicological sound recording made by Cootje van Oven. Fula song about a bracelet, accompanied by two jimberu and one fifaru. The two jimberu are pictured in the photograph. The jimberu is a conical wooden drum with one skin and an extension. In this case, both jimberu have an extension of four sticks with metal plates that have rings threaded through them. The jimberu is played with the hands. The fifaru is a thimble-shaped wooden drum with one skin. It is played with a stick, but there is some hand word too. Length of first jimberu 27.5", length of extension varying from 10" to 11", diameter of drumskin 9.5". Second jimberu: length 29.5", length of extension 12", diameter of skin 9". Fifaru: length 17.5", diameter of skin 8".
