This is a charm, or magical object, consisting of a gourd containing magical substances, potentially palm oil. It is bound with string and an unidentified substance, adorned with cowrie shells and quills. The World Museum Liverpool catalogue records it as a Poorah fetish ; Poorah may be a different spelling of Poro.
