Milton Margai Bust
This is a carved bust of the late Sir Milton Margai, the first Prime Minister of Sierra Leone, who died in 1964. Milton Margai was a doctor who worked in the provinces with the first curator of the Sierra Leone National Museum, Dr. M. C. F. Easmon. He led the Sierra Leone People's Party to be the first government in power after independence from British colonial rule in 1961.
