Wooden Mask
This unusual mask was originally painted red, and later encrusted with an unknown brown substance. It is carved from wood and depicts a face with down-cast eyes, surmounted by a small kneeling figure. It is not know what the mask was used for. The Sierra Leone National Museum records note that it came from Magbaruka in Malal Chiefdom, Tonkolili District.
