Painted Gourd
This is one of five painted gourds, donated to the Sierra Leone National Museum by a Mr. Grant, a West Indian Frontier Soldier, born in 1877, who served in Sierra Leone but who didn t return to his native Jamaica. This example is painted red, with white spots.
