Kamajor Cap
This is a cap, thought to have been worn by Kamajors, or Civil Defence Force, during the civil war. It is made from coarsely woven material and attached to it are a number of rectangular packages, bound in coloured, and undyed string. These are known ad sebe, or sebbeh, and are likely to contain Qur anic texts. It is also decorated with cowrie shells and fringing. This cap a powerful object, thought to have protective properties.
