Female Figure
A female figure, carved of wood. She is standing upright, with her hands resting on her waist. She has a particular hairstyle with ridges running from the front of her head, to the back, terminating in a point. As with two other examples from the British Museums collections, this ridge is accompanied by two large disc ears, and wide hips (see BM:Af.1954.23.3664. and BM:Af.1911-225). This example also has a geometric incised rectangle on her stomach, and a grey glass beaded necklace.
