Sande Headress
This is a headdress worn by girls initiated into the Sande society, during public dancing performances. It consists of a wooden bow, wrapped in printed cotton, with a black and beige fibre fringe. The bow is worn on the head, running vertically from the forehead, to the nape of the neck, and tied with the plaited straps.
