Photographic Print
Black and white photographic print showing a group of men and women resting outside a single story building. The associated writing in the album reads On the way to Mendi: the boys want to blow a bit. Blow is Krio for rest, suggesting the people in the picture might be the missions carriers resting on their journey into the provinces. This photo is part of a collection from an album put together by William Vivian in 1889; Vivian was a Missionary with the United Methodist Free Churches, and is likely to have taken the photographs himself. This is an albumen print.
