Mori Leather Bag
A Mori , or Mandingo , leather bag. The mouth of the bag has a rim of reddish leather, the same leather encases the lower part of the bag. There is a hole on one side, which has been repaired with leather. The belt is a double plaited leather cord attached to the bag with a button. Mori or Mandingo leatherwork is traditionally associated with Muslim elites and comes from the Northern Province of Sierra Leone.
