Civil Service Challenge Shield

A wooden plaque with a silver shield, presented to award holders of the Civil Service Challenge . It was first presented to E.O. Johnson I.S.D., in 1917. The main shield is surrounded by seven smaller shields, reading Medical and Sanitary 1917. Captain D.S. Bowen , Medical and Sanitary 1918. Captain V. Allan , Railway 1919 Captain O. Nazer , Railway 1924 Captain W.L. King , Police 1935. Captain E.J. Ashwood , Sierra Leone Batallion 1936. R. WAFF: Captain L.H. Bean , and Sierra Leone Batallion 1940. Captain L.H. Bean .
