Ethnomusicological sound recording made by Cootje van Oven. Mende song accompanied by the accordion (button-keyed). The meaning of the song is: "Walking on the road I meet people of the Bundu Society whom I don t know. They ask me What are you doing here? . I hide myself under palm leaves. But the head of the Society sees me and steps on me". The musician and accordion can be seen in the photograph.
